It saw the debuts of radio series Maisie, My Favorite Husband, and The Adventures of Nero Wolfe. Seinfeld had its premiere on NBC-TV, Anne Murray hosted Midnight Special, and Ray Charles recorded 'Hit the Road, Jack.'
