Ella Fitzgerald, the Everly Bros. and The Beatles made music headlines. Singer Eddy Howard, actor Sterling Hayden and comedian Moms Mabley breathed their last on this date, along with the TV series Full House, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Famed Top 40 deejay Robert W. Morgan checked out much too young, along with the Jack Benny radio show. Dan Lewis Anchors his Last KOMO Newscast

Dan's last newscast as anchor was Wednesday May 21st at 11 pm. That ends nearly 27 years as the prime face of KOMO4 News in Seattle. The 64-year-old told us last month the decision was two years in the making. Station officials say Lewis will still appear on the air on special occasions and on special assignments.
