CBC Vancouver is making changes to its local TV newscast, announcing today that Andrew Chang, who recently left the anchor desk at CBC News Montreal, will become the anchor of the supper hour broadcasts, replacing longtime staple Gloria Macarenko.

Rod Booth became BC Regional Director of Broadcasting for the United Church of Canada in 1967. He took over church responsibility for the Sunday morning programs on CKWX Vancouver, and was the United Church liaison with BC media in general. Along with his Anglican Church counterpart, the Rev. Art Hives and various Catholic Church colleagues, he formed Interchurch Broadcasting. Their weekly newsmagazine show Dateline was broadcast throughout BC and eventually across Canada for more than 10 years.
