Seattle’s 26-20 overtime win over Denver Sunday resulted in another huge TV rating nationally and locally.

The contest, televised by CBS,  was the highest-rated NFL game of the weekend on any network, according to CBS officials, earning an average household rating of 16.9 nationally and a share of 32. Those numbers were up the same time slot a year ago which drew a 14.6 and 28 (when games included Jacksonville at Seattle).

CBS reported that the rating peaked at 21.0 and a 36 share during the period from 4:30-5 p.m. Pacific time, during the overtime period.

Locally, the game drew a 41.9 rating (the rating is the percentage of all TVs tuned to that station) and a 79 share (the share is the percentage of all TVs in use at that tuned to that station).

That’s above last week’s game at San Diego, which drew a 34.7 rating and 71 share and comparable to the Thursday night home opener against Green Bay that had a 42.4 rating and 73 share.

The game was also a huge draw in Denver where it had a 42.0 rating and a 73 share.
