Veteran Vancouver journalist and Roundhouse Radio host Kirk LaPointe has announced on his Facebook page, “I’ve been offered a larger role with Business in Vancouver and its parent firm, Glacier Media, and decided to leave my evening Roundhouse Radio program after nearly two years. I will continue to co-host the BIV program on Roundhouse, but it will mean one hour and not three hours each day on the station. My final evening show will be August 25.”
Kirk has been with Roundhouse FM 98.3 since 2015, first as morning host then evenings. His prior broadcast credits include hosting/anchoring at CBC Newsworld from 1989 to ’95, and serving as CTV’s senior News Vice President from 2000-02.
Our thanks to Gord Lansdell at Northwest Broadcasters for the update.
