Donald Trump Jr. was very good to MSNBC last week (his father too.)
For the first time in the network’s 21-year history, MSNBC was the most-watched cable network during weekday prime (Monday-Friday 8-11 p.m.) in total viewers. MSNBC averaged 2.34 million viewers, which put it ahead of Fox News, Disney, USA and HGTV. Fox News remained No. 1 in viewers for Total Day viewing.
MSNBC benefited from its coverage of new developments seemingly every day involving the president’s son and his meeting with a Russian lawyer, and others, during the campaign. Rachel Maddow was the No. 1 cable news show of the week, averaging 711,000 demo viewers and 2.94M total viewers. On all of US cable, Maddow only trailed WWE on USA.
For the 5th straight week, MSNBC topped CNN during dayside (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) in total viewers.

Hey, from one Richard to another…buy a thesaurus and upgrade your moronic put downs of Ms Maddow and her, for now, resurgent network.
I predicted better days for MSNBC simply because depressed Democrats need some commiseration as the GOP completely control Washington plus the majority of state governments.
To that end, Maddow and her fellow hosts are digging deep on matters affecting Trump and congressional Republicans. CNN only scratches the surface of daily events with their noisy and tiresome jumbo panels. Maddow also benefits from the lame-o lineup of FOX News talking heads in that time slot. Jesse Watters as a co-host? Give me a break.
Digging deep? Give me a break. msnbc is about hate-mongering and gossiping, not reporting.
I’d say the same about FOX News in the evening. But I watch it anyway to learn stuff that isn’t being covered by MSM. Too many people stay stuck in their silos and thus become low-information viewers/electors.
Since when is Fox News stating the truth about the Democrats and reporting what the liberal media won’t “hate-mongering” and “gossiping”?
