Today, marked the end of an era. After 35 years on air, Edmonton’s Chris Scheetz from CISN Country 103.9’s CISN In The Mornings said goodbye to listeners with an epic party.

The station, which changed its name to Chris’n Country 103.8, celebrated Chris’ final broadcast this morning from 7 to 11 a.m. from the Cook County Saloon – where the station launched from in 1982.

Family, friends and CISN staff gathered for the live broadcast that included special guests throughout the morning and performances by three-time CCMA Entertainer of the Year Dallas Smith, Juno and CCMA award winner Brett Kissel, Clayton Bellamy, Martin Kerr, and Chad Klinger. There was even a guest appearance by Robert Clark (the Edmonton Oilers anthem singer).

Also, Amarjeet Sohi, the Mayor of Edmonton, declared May 10, 2024 as Chris Scheetz Day!

And as we say good-bye to Chris, we say hello to the new morning show on CISN Country. Starting on May 21, the new morning show, Jack & Matt, with Jacqueline (Jack) Sweeney and Matt DeBeurs hits the airwaves.
