According to a report from Nielsen, Country is America’s number one overall format (ages 12 and over) in the 48 Portable People Meter (PPM) markets. In June, the format reached its all-time high in audience share, before ending the year with four straight months of declines. News/Talk remained the top-ranked overall format with listeners ages 6 and over, while Hot AC gained both listeners young and old moving from number five to number three among audiences ages 18-34.
