Highly respected Canadian TV broadcaster and Order of Canada appointee Don Brinton passed away February 1 at age 94. He was instrumental in the launch of four TV stations in Western Canada and in 1988 became the Vice Chairman of CanWest Global Communications Corp., overseeing the transition of CKVU-TV Vancouver to CanWest.
