The Community Radio Fund of Canada is providing $49,000 to University of Victoria campus radio station CFUV, to fund content development for Indigenous media until July 2022.
The money will allow CFUV to hire two part-time Indigenous media producers to create a podcast centering on a variety of topics.
With mentorship from the station’s Indigenous programming coordinator and award-winning podcast producer, Cassidy Villebrun-Buracas, these roles were designed to be paid learning opportunities.
