Network accused in lawsuit of ‘bullying’ Kentucky teen

CNN agreed Tuesday to settle for an undisclosed amount a $275 million lawsuit filed by Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann over the network’s coverage of his viral encounter with an elderly Native American activist.
A CNN spokesman confirmed to The Washington Times that a settlement had been reached, but offered no details. The amount was not disclosed in federal court in Covington, Kentucky, according to Fox19 in Cincinnati.
The teen’s family filed lawsuits against CNN, NBCUniversal and the Washington Post over reporting on the January 2019 incident in which Nicholas was filmed standing face-to-face with Omaha elder Nathan Phillips as he played a drum on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Sandmann attorney Todd V. McMurtry declined to comment on the settlement with CNN, but said attorneys agreed in a conference with the judge to “proceed with haste” in bringing in as many as 12 additional media outlets as defendants.
“The case against NBC and the Washington Post continues, and there are a number of additional defendants that we will be suing over the next 30 to 60 days,” said Mr. McMurtry, adding, “The defendants are those that republished Nathan Phillips’s false statements.”

Would like to know more details of the actual settlement amount .
It would also be great to see the rest of the Defendants in this matter go down o eat a time, much like a set of Dominoes, it is only fitting .
The general public needs to hear much more on this, I am sure more information and publicity on this would encourage more of the public to come forward when wronged by a very biased Media, it is time dishonest manipulative Fake Media are held more accountable for their transgressions .
I must also say that it is very encouraging to finally see a Judge that is not a PC SJW, a real breath of fresh air .

Let’s hope these lawsuits become the rule rather than the exception. Maybe we will finally see accurate reporting as a result.
Its to bad that every TV news outlet that played this video with the same bias cant be sued
Unrelated except when you look at the stupidity. The BMO on Burrard St chose to have a Grandfather and his 12 year old granddaughter arrested for trying to open an account for the young girl. The VPD even handcuffed the pair at the bank.
I have just reported the facts that need to be known about the pathetic business practice by the BMO and the thoughtless action of the VPD.
In Canada in our current climate I have left out details that the MSM include because in todays Canada we are light years away from equality for all.
