John Carlson, morning host at Lotus Communications “Talk Radio 570” KVI Seattle, announced that he will retire in April. Carlson, who has been with the station since 1993, is leaving the industry after being named President of the real estate company Kemper Development Co.
“Since the summer of ’93, I’m probably having more fun (now) than ever before,” Carlson said on Friday’s show (Feb. 14), “and yet despite all that, I am announcing this morning that I will be stepping away from this microphone and retiring from radio this April.”
