During an appearance on Face The Nation this weekend, veteran CBS reporter Jan Crawford called out the media mob for underreporting Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline while in the Oval Office.
Crawford, the network’s chief legal correspondent, suggested that if Biden faced more scrutiny over his mental health sooner, the outcry may have triggered a primary and changed the course of the election.
The soundbite came up when Crawford was asked about the most underreported story of 2024.
“Undercovered and underreported, that would be, to me, Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate,” she said on the Sunday morning show.
A good point. However, she was asked a question about the most “underreported story” of the year and in her opinion it was about Biden’s mental decline. If Biden had decided not to run earlier in the year, there might have been a difference in the 2024 election if a different candidate had run for the Democrats instead of Kamala Harris. The question is, who would it have been?
She’s a reporter, not a politician. It’s her job to report the news not to make it or get personally involved in it.
