WINNIPEG SEA BEARS AND 680 CJOB PARTNER TO BROADCAST SELECT GAMES IN 2024
The Winnipeg Sea Bears and 680 CJOB, Winnipeg’s news and information leader, announced Thursday a partnership that sees the popular Winnipeg radio station broadcast select Sea Bears games in 2024, starting with the team’s season opener in Saskatoon on May 22.
680 CJOB will live broadcast six Sea Bears games on the 2024 slate, including four home and two away match-ups. The full schedule can be found below.
May 22 at Saskatchewan Rattlers (9:30 p.m. CT)
May 24 vs Scarborough Shooting Stars (7:30 p.m. CT)
June 9 at Calgary Surge (4:00 p.m. CT)
June 19 vs Vancouver Bandits (7:00 p.m. CT)
July 3 vs Edmonton Stingers (7:00 p.m. CT)
July 23 vs Calgary Surge (7:00 p.m. CT)
Fans can also catch regular segments with Sea Bears head coach and general manager, Mike Taylor on 680 CJOB’s The Start, The Jim Toth Show and The CJOB Sports Show with Christian Aumell.
680 CJOB broadcasts live on AM radio, and streams online here, Radioplayer, Tune In, Apple Music, Stingray and My Tuner.
The Winnipeg Sea Bears open training camp Monday, May 13 at Sport Manitoba in Winnipeg before they head to Saskatchewan to take on the Rattlers on May 22. The team’s home opener is slated for May 24 at Canada Life Centre against the defending CEBL champions, the Scarborough Shooting Stars.

About the Winnipeg Sea Bears
The Winnipeg Sea Bears joined the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) as an expansion franchise in 2023. The city’s only professional basketball team plays out of Canada Life Centre from May to August in a 20-game regular season schedule. In the team’s inaugural season, it placed second in the Western Conference and set new records for CEBL attendance on three occasions. The organization became the first in CEBL history to win four major awards: MVP (Teddy Allen), Sixth Man of the Year (Jelani Watson-Gayle), U SPORTS Player of the Year (Simon Hildebrandt) and Coach of the Year. The front office subsequently was awarded the 2023 CEBL Franchise of the Year.
