Started New Job at Vista Radio
October 2023 — Operations Manager/Program Director
I oversee the operations and programming for all three brands of radio stations in the Cariboo – Cariboo Country, Country 840 and The Goat.
What is Your background Jason?
Yes siI was with Pattison, the Stan Davis group, and now with Vista all here in WL. Began my radio career here in WL in 1990 fresh out of high school at the age of 18. Went to BCIT for the Broadcast Comms course and did my first year. After already working in radio, the call to work was too great and I rejoined the station in WL and spent 16 years working my way up through the ranks. Left the station in 2007 after the labour dispute with the initial Vista radio group, and started my 17 years doing freelance VO from my home studio. I decided to rejoin the radio world with the new Vista team in October as their Operations Manager & Program Director. And away we go!

Will that work or would you like something more detailed? I had a brief, 8 year stint in local politics during the freelance years too as a City Councillor. Took my shot at mayor in 2022 and came close in second place. I still run my freelance VO business from home, named Front Row Voiceovers.
