Hello, I wanted to share the following news with you.
Hoping you can share it with your readers.
Brad Phillips, a highly respected industry leader with over 30 years of radio and television broadcast management and a finalist in Billboard magazine’s talent of the year competition, will be retiring from his role as Senior Vice President, Corus Audio.
To say Brad Phillips is an industry legend is an understatement. From his first on-air radio gig as a teenager in Red Deer, Alberta, managing and programming #1 radio stations in Canada’s largest English markets, to overseeing television stations, most notably introducing the City TV brand to the west coast, Brad has helped shape the music we hear and the TV programing we see.
“The true mark of a great career is not just winning at the highest levels, but winning the respect of colleagues and competitors while doing something you love,” said Troy Reeb, Executive Vice President, Broadcast Networks, Corus Entertainment. “I want to thank Brad for his tremendous contributions to Corus, and to the broader industry which he will no doubt continue to support in his next chapter.”
Brad with remain with Corus until early August.

What an outstanding career. An industry leader absolutely. It was 1985 when I got a call from Brad offering me the evening gig at 1140 CKXL.Didn’t wanna make the move from Saskatoon to Calgary…still kickin myself today. All the very best…..Congratulations and Happy Retirement!
That my friends is the smug, arrogant face of corporate broadcasting. Where are all the glowing tributes from the hundreds of broadcasters that he came into contact with?
Did CorusAudio promote the experimental medical procedures?
Who knew what and when did they know it?
Maybe Brad could fill us in after he retires.
