Former CBC Vancouver staffer René Proulx passed away suddenly in Ottawa on Oct. 27 at age 73. He worked for more than 35 years at the CBC before retiring in 2011. He began his career in Vancouver and was soon working for CBC National News as an editor. From there, he was transferred to the Parliamentary Bureau in Ottawa, where he worked until he retired.
