Fred Walker, one of the most recognized voices in Canadian radio sports with the CBC, and a popular figure among athletes and the media, has died.
Walker, who retired in 1995, died Friday in Mississauga at age 82.
“He was loved everywhere he went,” said CBC colleague Phil Dugas.
