The Canadian media landscape has lost a legend, as Regina area broadcaster Mal Isaac passed away on Saturday at the age of 84, according to his friend and colleague Rob Vanstone.
Isaac began his career in broadcasting at the age of 21, working in local radio Weyburn, Yorkton, Regina and Sudbury, Ontario. He would go on to be a sportswriter for the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix and Regina Leader-Post, before assuming his most recognizable role with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
