Larry King, the award-winning TV and radio host who became a household name with his long-running CNN show Larry King Live, died Saturday morning at the age of 87.
“With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” King’s official Twitter announced Saturday morning. No cause of death was provided.
“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster. Additionally, while it was his name appearing in the shows’ titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the true stars of his programs, and himself as merely an unbiased conduit between the guest and audience. Whether he was interviewing a U.S. president, foreign leader, celebrity, scandal-ridden personage, or an everyman, Larry liked to ask short, direct, and uncomplicated questions. He believed concise questions usually provided the best answers, and he was not wrong in that belief.”

That brings me to a pet peeve of mind regarding questions by interviewers. Have you noticed how long and involved their questions are? I’m referring to the hosts of many TV news talk shows who think it’s necessary to explain why they are asking the question before they ask it. No wonder you always hear them saying, “We only have 45 seconds left so, …” Don’t be afraid to just ask the question.
RIP Larry King
Always enjoyed Mr King on the radio. For three years I drove to Seattle and back 5 nights a week. Listening to talk radio helped pass the time. Larry King was one of the best, may he rest in peace
Was Larry a face mask wearer?
Did his health issues accelerate due to wearing a face mask?
Does C-19 actually exist?
Following Biden’s inauguration, the WHO admitted the PCR tests are giving off too many false positives.
Hey MSM people,
Why are you not looking into possible crimes against the people…..you know, against the people that watch, read, and listen to your news?
RIP Larry King a great entertaining host/interviewer.
I thought he died years ago. Was he still broadcasting?
“Peoria Illinois, you’re on the air!”
The master of asking questions. Today these advocates build you a watch to ask a question.
In the same vein as long winded questions:
Anchor throw – I understand the police have identified the murderer and hes the brother of the victim and had been living at the home for the past year ?
Uh whats left to tell?
Clueless!
Always thought he was overrated but you can’t knock his success.
