GRAMMY-winning Country artist JOE DIFFIE passed away TODAY (3/29) from complications of CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) at the age of 61. His family has asked for privacy, and has revealed no other information.
DIFFIE’s publicist announced his diagnosis on FRIDAY, issuing the following statement from DIFFIE: “I am under the care of medical professionals and currently receiving treatment.
DIFFIE is best known for his string of #1 hits that include “Home,” “If The DeviMy family and I are asking for privacy at this time. We want to remind the public and all my fans to be vigilant, cautious and careful during this pandemic.”l Danced (In Empty Pockets),” “Third Rock From The Sun,” “Pickup Man,” and “Bigger Than The Beatles.” In addition to his music career, he has been voice tracking middays on GRIFFIN COMMUNICATIONS Classic Country KXBL (BIG COUNTRY 99.5)/TULSA for nearly a year.
