Well, it seemed just like a matter of time….
It seems that Nexstar’s KCPQ (Seattle) is the first newsroom to be impacted by the coronavirus. KCPQ General Manager Pam Pearson sent this internal memo to the staff and it was obtained by FTVLive.
Pearson told the staff a family member of one employee works at a facility where a coronavirus patient was recently identified.
Sources tell FTVLive that a number of KCPQ employees are also being asked to stay home and self-quarantine because of this.
This is the first, but likely not the last of the radio and TV newsrooms to be impacted by this.
Also, remember, Nexstar CEO Perry Sook says that the coronavirus will be good for Nexstar.
I’m thinking there are at least a few people at KCPQ that might disagree with him.
Just saying….
