Love to know how these top 3 continue to dominate the ratings when there the worst stations in Edmonton. Guess $ talks
hey rider, can you share some better news with us folk as to your ratings compared to other morning show hosts. I know these numbers don’t portray the entire picture, and yes, I also know very well how sales departments can play the numbers, all to their and the radio station’s favour……..
ryderfan 🙂
Travis, do you actually listen to the radio at all? Now is the #1 station primarily because of the hosts & the interaction. There’s really no other station like it right now.
As for Ched, it’s also in the top 3 because of the shows and the hosts. Great people = great ratings.
And Cisn, well, Edmonton is a country city. That’s a fact of life. Country music will always be big.
CHED has always been number one because of the oilers and the eskimos..the fact they have dropped to number two is a reflection of the fans disenchantment with their hockey team.
The Bear needs to shake things up in order to get more decent ratings. One thing is to be more on top of putting out new music as they seem to wait for who knows how long to add new music on their station when it’s been out for weeks if not months (or a couple of years). Plus they need to diverge more into airing some good classic rock songs instead of playing the usual stuff from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica, along with 1990s alternative rock. The station it seems isn’t as good as it was compared to 10-15 years ago. Just my two cents
