WARM 106.9, annually dominant in the Seattle radio ratings with an All Christmas music format, went to their seasonal programming Thursday, two days earlier than they flipped last year. Explained Program Director Ron Harrell, “we’re excited to continue our 20-year tradition of being Seattle’s Christmas Radio Station.”
And STAR 101.5 made the same move yesterday, branding as “SANTA FM, The Best Mix of Today’s Christmas Music.” STAR, officially censed as KPLZ, promises to play 20 Christmas songs in a row from 9 to 4 each weekday.
I used to listen to WARM on my computer but they have become yet another US station to not stream in Canada. “A corporate decision due to licensing restrictions,” I was told.
