Nationally syndicated radio and TV talk host Glenn Beck confirmed an “exclusive” report posted at LawNewz.com saying his production and operating company, Mercury Radio Arts (MRA), has filed a lawsuit against former MRA COO and CEO of TheBlaze news network, Christopher Balfe.
According to the report, the suit charges Balfe — who worked with Beck for more than a decade until leaving in 2014 to start his own company — Red Seat Ventures — with “breach of contract, general mismanagement, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud.”
In a statement posted at his own website today Beck said, “You have all heard me over the last couple of years describing how hard a time it has been.
Between being sick, turning over my company, etc., It culminates in a lawsuit that we filed Friday in Dallas between MRA and the former President. I am embarrassed and saddened it has come to this. It is an ongoing legal matter so you will not hear me speak of this often but as always, I want you to hear it from me.”
When contacted by NTS MediaOnline Today for comment on the story and lawsuit Balfe, “I feel terrible for Glenn and I hope that he finds the help he needs.”
