Thanks to Jack Bennest for posting the news at Radio West that Doriana Temolo, News Director of Global National will leave her post July 15 to pursue other interests. She has been with Global National for 15 years after 13 years at BCTV/CHAN.
Gord Lansdell at his Vancouver Broadcasters site shows Doriana’s broadcasting itinerary as follows:
CKNW New Westminster 1978-82; CKVU-TV Vancouver 1983-87; reporter/news anchor/producer BCTV Vancouver 1987-2000; producer Global National Vancouver 2001-11 and news director 2011-current; recipient Leo Award for Best News Package 2002 & 2003

Always wondered what became of Doriana. A tremendous news reporter in her day, she probably was attracted to the bigger salary and better hours of working the executive side of the industry. Given the harsh economic and competitive circumstances of modern media, guess a 5-year run as News Director is pretty good.
