Rogers original series Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan will be available on customers’ screens for the first time ever in 4K, airing Wednesdays, beginning January 6. The next big thing in home entertainment, 4K brings viewers even closer to the action with four times the pixels of HD for higher resolution and improved motion video.
Exploring some of the most remote corners of the globe – Bolivia, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, and the Philippines, just to name a few – the series follows actor Dominic Monaghan (Lost, Lord of the Rings) as he takes viewers along on an intimate, action-packed quest to get up close and personal with some of the weirdest and wildest creatures alive. This season, Monaghan expands his quests to include some of the most rare and life-threatening creatures on the planet, including the Indian Cobra, the flying lizard, giant whale sharks, and the rare and very creepy Aye-aye lemur of Madagascar.
(Ed Note: It would appear Wild Things is shown on the Outdoor Life Network, which Shaw does not make available in HD.)
4K is a lot of hype and unless you have a very large screen 70″+ you can’t tell the difference at normal viewing distances with HD.
