Howard Stern says he’s leaving “America’s Got Talent” at the end of this season — but whether he’s serious or is negotiating publicly for a new contract remains to be seen.
Stern told his SiriusXM radio audience Wednesday that he is leaving “AGT” later this summer at the end of the season, his fourth on the popular NBC talent show.
He said NBC wanted to know from him whether he would return for Season 11 by July 4.
NBC had no comment Wednesday, but a network insider told The Post that Stern — who’s on a year-to-year contract — says he’s leaving the show every year right around the time his deal is set to expire.
Last fall, before he signed on for the current season, Stern said he “really did struggle” with the decision.
Stern also said on his radio show Wednesday that has an offer from another, unnamed TV show that interests him.
