Does she have any post-secondary or academic experience? What exactly are her qualifications for such a job?
Just find it slightly amusing if living on the island and being in media are the only requirements one needs for such a job.
I am sure living on the Island helps. What sort of qualifications does a Chancellor need?
According to Wikipedia, Shelagh graduated from Queen’s University’s arts program (Art history) in 1977. And she has been one of the CBC’s most highly regarded broadcasters for decades.
Whenever you hear Ms. Rogers onair, she bespeaks quality.
