Statement from Larry Ward on FCC Decision
Washington, DC – Constitutional Rights PAC Chairman Larry Ward issued the following statement in response to the Federal Communications Commission’s decision today to begin regulating the Internet as a Public Utility:
“Today a handful of unelected FCC leaders singlehandedly ‘decided’ the future of the American Internet – by a majority of three. This disgusting powergrab is totally at odds with liberty and the republican form of government.
What the FCC affected today was accomplished completely outside of the U.S. Congress, the body designed by the Constitution as the People’s forum on law. In fact, not a single member of Congress – or anyone in the public – was granted access to read the FCC’s original 322-page plan or its more recent 317-page revision. Yet, this is the plan that will allegedly – according to Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel’s statement this morning – grant us a “secure and viable future” online.
This is far from the truth. Just like Obamacare has destroyed the healthcare market in the name of making it ’fair’ and ‘accessible,’ so we can expect that the FCC’s newest rules to destroy the Internet as we currently know and enjoy it.
The reality is, the FCC has no inherent power to control the Internet, plain and simple, and the fight for an Internet free of government regulation is far from over. Indeed, today only marks our fight’s escalation. While the FCC plan – which came straight from Obama’s desk – may have support from George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and a handful of special interests, the American people overwhelmingly oppose government regulating the Internet.
What happened today at 445 12th Street S.W., D.C. is a major blow for Internet freedom and liberty as a whole in America, but we are committed to fighting the FCC’s new regulations tooth and nail hereforward.
Constitutional Rights PAC sent over 100 thousand letters to the FCC – and additional thousands to Congress – on behalf of the grassroots, and we are not planning on backing down because of a handful of Obama’s bureaucrats decided on new ‘rules’ for us to play by.

Yup.. it’s true. The FCC is going for a power grab via unconstitutional means.
FCC Secret Net Neutrality VS. JFK’s speech
“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know.”
