It appears Sonic Edmonton didn’t have to go too far in their search for a replacement for the vacating Rick Lee. He’s not only a home town Edmonton boy, but since graduation from NAIT in 2010, was able to launch his career in the capital city. His name is Taylor Smith.
Taylor, who’s been doing evenings on Fresh FM for the past two years, did his practicum in the same building with CISN Country. From overnights, to weekends, into evenings down the highway on Country 105 for a few months before being hired as CKNG.
Taylor was voted “Best Late Night Host” by Vue Weekly in their Best of Edmonton readers poll. His first day at Sonic starts February the 2nd.
