CBS Radio has entered into a partnership with Bloomberg Radio to be the primary supplier of business reports for CBS’ owned-and-operated radio stations in 12-key markets including, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago,San Francisco,Dallas, Houston,Philadelphia andBoston. Bloomberg Radio is now providing business news updates twice hourly on select CBS Radio all-news stations, and other CBS Radio properties. “This partnership will greatly raise the level of our business coverage, enhancing our product in cities from coast to coast,” said Scott Herman, Executive Vice President, Operations, CBS Radio and Market Manager for the company’s New York City radio cluster. “Bloomberg reporters will offer expertise and depth to local business stories of interest, reaching audiences of our individual radio stations.” Commenting on the new alliance, Jim Higgins — President/COO of United Stations Radio Networks, which handles advertising sales and distribution for Bloomberg — said, “With the addition of these great CBS Radio stations to our existing Bloomberg lineup, it clearly makes Bloomberg the preeminent business radio network for advertisers seeking an association with this extremely attractive and desirable audience.
