Stan Freberg – Christmas Dragnet
I did not fully realize until today how prolific a satirist Stan Freberg was.
As a follow up to “St. George and the Dragonet“, Freberg released this holiday classic which, according to Wikipedia, was also known as “Ulenet“.
He certainly does a bang-up job on the Joe Friday character. Although there is one thing I don’t quite understand. Why is it that some of the radio actors of the day referred to the jolly
old fellow as “Santy Claus“?
