There were several occasions I woke up in a very confused state, not in my clothes,” says Barbara Bowman

The woman accusing Bill Cosby of rape appeared on CNN Thursday night, claiming Cosby’s mentoring of her went way too far.

“He had been mentoring me, and grooming me,” Barbara Bowman told Don Lemon, recounting coming to New York City at 17 to pursue an acting career with Cosby as her guide. She went on to reveal multiple accounts of being drugged and raped by Cosby.

Bowman told Lemon she woke up in Cosby’s New York City brownstone dazed and confused after a glass of wine the night before: “Before I knew it, I was with my head over the toilet throwing up. He was holding my hair over my face while I threw up and I was in a white t-shirt and my panties, and he was looming over me in a white robe.

Bowman also penned a Washington Post op-ed Thursday titled: “Bill Cosby raped me. Why did it take 30 years for people to believe my story?”

Cosby has denied Bowman’s–and other women’s allegations–for years.

  1. Why did it take 30 years for this lady to tell her story? If someone as famous as Bill Cosby did this, you would think the accuser would tell the story right away. Waiting 30 years leaves too many questions.

  2. Sorry Chris, but you don’t seem to get the drift. If you’ve been following the Jian Ghomeshi story, and the fact it took 10 years for one of his victims to come forward. You fail to understand not only the fear, but the intimidation, and the thought, Who Will Believe Me? after all, I’m just this lowly individual and he’s a star!
sorry pal. You obviously are blinded by the obvious

  3. Why not build a special jail for the celebrated, then fill the jail with every alledged felon imaginable, such as: Jian Ghomeshi, Woody Allen, Bill Cosby, OJ Simpson, Phil Spector, Oscar Pistorius, Rolf Harris, and Martha Stewart.

Don’t stop there. Do daily guided tours and sell peanuts, popcorn and program guides.

What is it about western society……that enjoys seeing others suffer ?

    • Only Jian Ghomeshi, Woody Allen & Bill Cosby are still alleged incidents at this time, the rest were all found guilty, OJ more recently as opposed to what he was acquitted of in the 90s

  4. Its true, when you are young, you feel who will believe you or you are too embarrassed to come forward. I believe this lady, and all of the others that have come forward. There is no money to be made from this, so they need to vent. Cosby has paid people to be quiet, it is just as simple as that. Now, its all coming out like a tidal wave against him.

  5. Updating the Cosby thread, a scheduled Cosby appearance on Letterman next Wednesday has been cancelled.
Earlier today, Cosby went silent when asked during an interview with NPR’s ”Weekend Edition” about the ”serious allegations raised.” He shook his head to signify no when host Scott Simon asked if he wanted to address the accusations.

in the court of the people, (the “court” of public opinion) none of the above can EVER expect to receive a fair trial, since the media has already concluded that they are all guilty.

Cosby, Allen, and Ghomeshi (rightly or wrongly) have already been tried by the media and therefore, cannot ever receive a fair trial, should they get their day in court !

Also, black celebrities have a heavier burden to prove their innocence than white celebrities.
    e.g O.J. Simpson.

Many white people perceive blacks as criminals, even if no crime was actually committed.
