The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group is pleased to announce today that effective immediately, Rob Bye has been named the permanent General Manager/National Sales Manager of CKKQ-FM & CJZN-FM in Victoria, B.C. The company is delighted to promote from within the organization for this opportunity to guide the leading radio combo in the city.
In the last six months (since the retirement of previous GM Dan McAllister) Rob has served as the Interim General Manager of our Victoria operations, overseeing the day-to-day management of the two radio stations in addition to his current responsibilities as General Manager/General Sales Manager of the six Island Radio divisions. While continuing to be based in Nanaimo, Rob will now oversee all Pattison radio stations based on Vancouver Island, including CKLR-FM Courtenay/Campbell River, CKWV-FM & CHWF-FM Nanaimo, CIBH-FM & CHPQ-FM Parksville and CJAV-FM Port Alberni.
Rob has continued to display an impeccable work ethic and dedication within the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group which has resulted in an impressive career. Not only has he successfully served as General Manager/GSM of our six Island Radio divisions since 2007, but prior to this he also played an integral role at the Pattison stations in Lethbridge, AB – leading the CHLB-FM and CJBZ-FM team as General Manager/GSM. His commitment to success and solid management skills have been assets to our entire company and have allowed him to take on new challenges and opportunities.
Rob is looking forward to the opportunity to work with all of the dedicated JPBG team members on Vancouver Island, and to continuously look for new ideas to provide even greater service to our listeners, clients and the communities we’re licenced to serve.
