Gord was a true radioman and gentleman.I have some great memories/air checks as well. Met him back in the early 80’s at 1006 Richards.What a nice guy and gone way too young. He is very missed and this business needs more like him.
I had the privilege of working with Gord on three stations under the same roof here in Edmonton. First on 630 CHED when he returned from Vancouver, doing news during his afternoon show. Then later we cohosted on KING 92.5 FM in the mornings, then later when he returned again to COOL 880. He was a gracious man who shared his mentorship liberally. The health problems that took his life were quite pronounced in his last days at the radio station. He is greatly missed.
