Disappointing #’s for CRUZ. Still think they should have held off on the launch til McCord was ready to go!
When Cruz first launched, I thought Wow! This is going to clean up the Edmonton market, they sounded great! Then they started adding crap to their music list. They went all over the map. These people don’t seem to understand that just because Guns and Roses does have a following, it’s doesn’t include everyone. Absolutely no rhyme or reason. In their attempt to create mass appeal, they wipe out all possibilities at the same time.
I don’t agree the waiting for McCord would have solved the problem. That was a great time to introduce the music, but obviously that was going to turn out as a failure from the get-go. There is so much SOLID ROCK from the mid 60’s through the 80’s. You can pick the best of the bunch of the 90’s and now… make a perfect blend. a perfect mix, and guess what, there are thousands of songs to chose from, without worry or concern of repetition. (Including Can-Con). Nope, this has got to be one big disappointment. It is to ME!
Agreed that waiting for McCord wouldn’t have solved the problem. But, listeners sample shows and music. Should’ve hit them with their best…
These are 2+ numbers. I’m sure the agencies are watching the buying patterns of 4 year olds to make the next radio buy.
Does anyone have details of 18+. Curious how Gary James did in Drive
